Marin Alsop was due to conduct Southbank Centre‘s performance of this iconic symphony with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain appearing alongside a 200-strong choir performing a new re-written English version of Schiller’s Ode To Joy. Suzi was to lead the choir, but sadly all performances had to be cancelled due to the Covid19 pandemic.
